Far Out, Processed Items

The goal here is to provide information to consumers who otherwise would be buying unsustainable agricultural products from far, far away. If the closest Black Tea producer is more than 100 miles away, it is fair game for this website. If it is in VA, MD, DC, WV, PA, DE, but far away, well it might be close to some readers, so post it's distance from the White House in Washington, DC and let the consumer decide if it is too far away.

No one lists the origin of ingredients for processed foods. If you can't verify the origin of processed items, then make a note of it. Some items can be inferred to be from far away because those items are only produced abroad or a small number of states, e.g Olive Oil, Sugar, Black Tea, Coffee.
